I would like to introduce my beautiful baby boy Kayden Trevor into the world. He was born @ 4:37am April 1st, 2003. He is tiny, and weighed 5 lbs, 5 oz and was 17 inches long. Just beautiful and healthy. Right now he has the most gorgeous green eyes, but they are likely to change color sometime soon. He has fairly tanned skin and light brown hair. Not too much hair... but it's there. Oh my God, it has been the most amazing couple of days, I have the most beautiful baby you could ever ask for! The delivery was long and hard, but I'll get to all that later. I'm exsausted! We just arrived home today at around lunchtime, I'm so weak and strained, I just want to get into bed. Everyone was wonderful, it's been amazing but hard. I guess you're wondering why Kayden Trevor right? Well the day we came to the hospital (March 28th) mom and I still wanted to sex of the baby to be kept a secret. We were looking through names with Aaron and his family who had come to visit. I thought it would be adorable to keep a theme kinda going... You see, Aaron and I both have names that start with A and end in N. Aaron's mom suggested Aiden for a boy and I completely loved it! Well, the day before the delivery I freaked out and told my mom that the "family theme" sort of creeped me out. It was just too perfect and our family was already off to a less than perfect start. She tried to relax me and told me that my baby was going to be perfect and not to worry. I knew my baby was going to be perfect, but I didn't want our family to be so... I don't know. Maybe it was the fear of labour, or maybe it was the pain. I just flipped out and decided on Loryn for a girl and Kayden for a boy. My mom loved it. I suggested it to Aaron's family and they thought it was perfect. It was perfect. It's a beautiful name. It comes from the name Kaden meaning "companion". Trevor is one of Aaron's middle names and I wanted him to take something of his father's. Well after 17 hours of labour, little Kayden finally popped out the morning of April 1st, 2003. Lil jokester, born on April Fool's! As soon as he came out this wave of relief swept over to me. I just remember sweating, being sore, and breathing really hard. The next thing I remember is Aaron holding a tiny crying baby... the most beautiful sight I've ever seen... He was smiling, and he kissed the baby on the forhead. He walked over to my bedside and gently handed me the little angel. "He's beautiful... All ten fingers, all nine toes."

"Nine toes?!?!" I was so scared.

"April Fools." He said laughing and gave me a kiss on the cheek.

"He's got your nose Allyson..."

"He's ours Aaron..."

"Our little Kayden..." He said smiling. I looked down at Kayden who had stopped crying and seemed quite comfortable. It was the most beautiful baby I had ever seen... Bundled up and silently sleeping. A gift from God... "Thanks..." I whispered, more to Kayden then to anyone in that room. It was Kayden who had listened to me from the beginning... deep down he had been there all along...
